Manchow Soup


Hie everyone, 

Hope you all are enjoying the winter. It is an excellent time to get cozy and have some Chinese soup. Manchow soup is one of the most famous Indo-Chinese recipes. It is always delicious and the best soup starter for an Indo-Chinese dinner. Back in India, whenever I catch a cold, I always crave this soup as it soothes my throat and brings warmth. We always enjoy this soup with Noodles or Manchurian. Hope you all will enjoy it too. 


Ingredients:

For vegetable stock:

  • 3-4 peels of carrots
  • 3-4 peels of cabbage
  • 3-4 peels of onions
  • 4-5 stems of coriander.

Veggies for Soup
  • 1/2 small onion chopped 
  • 2 spring beans chopped
  • 1/2 carrot peeled and chopped 
  • 2 spring onion chopped
  • 3 colorful sweet pepper chopped
  • 1/4 green pepper chopped
  • 1/2 small tomato chopped
  • 1/2 jalapeno chopped
  • 1 small piece cabbage chopped
  • 1/3 cup boiled noodles
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • 1/4 tsp green chilies crushed
  • 1 tsp soya sauce
  • 1 tsp of red chili sauce
  • 1 tsp schezwan sauce
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp corn starch.
Instructions:

Vegetable stock:
  1. In the pan, take 2 cups of water and add salt.
  2. Once it starts boiling ass the peeled carrots, cabbage, onions, and coriander stems.
  3. Bring it to boil 3 to 4 times.
  4. Let it cook for 2 mins.
  5. Strain the vegetable stock and keep it aside to use in soup


Soup:
  1. In a pan, take oil and let it heat.
  2. Add ginger, garlic paste, and crushed green chili.
  3. Add all the veggies and salt and saute for 2 mins.
  4. Add soya sauce, schezwan sauce, and red chili sauce.
  5. Saute for 5 mins and add the vegetable stock.
  6. Cook and bring the soup to boil.
  7. In a bowl, take boiled noodles.
  8. Add corn starch and mix it well.
  9. Fry the noodles until crispy and keep them aside for serving.
  10. In a small bowl, take corn starch, add water and mix it well
  11. Add to the soup and bring it to a boil.




Serving:
  • Add hot soup to a soup bowl.
  • Add pieces of fried noodles on top
  • Garnish with spring onions and ENJOY!!
